New Release – Broadcast Tools Streaming Sentinel 4 – 4 Channel Internet Radio Monitoring
The Broadcast Tools Inc. Streaming Sentinel 4 is capable of simultaneously monitoring up to four Internet streams. The built in Silence Sensor is capable of monitoring the audio level of one of the monitored streams by directing audio through an MP3 converter and played through the analog output. Any of the four monitored streams can trigger an alarm, which can include an (TLS/SSL Gmail enabled) email sent up to eight different addresses and/or a phone calls with up to four different phone numbers. Once the phone call is answered, the Streaming Sentinel 4 will give a greeting and an alarm message.
In addition to monitoring up to four Internet streams, the Streaming Sentinel 4 can send periodic PINGs to a configurable URL to check for a valid Internet connection. If the PING determines that an Internet connection is not present, then an alarm can be generated, again, alerting up to eight different email addresses and/or calling up to four different phone numbers.
Greetings and Alarm messages are stored as MP3 files on the internal Micro SD card. The card is formatted with the FAT file system and has a folder called clips where all of your MP3 files are stored. From the I/O Setup page on the Streaming Sentinel 4, you can select which of these clips to play for the greeting and alarm message when the phone number(s) is called.
Firmware updates are performed by placing a new firmware file on the Micro SD card in the firmware directory and restarting the unit.
